Sidetrack makes contemporary theatre that aims to instigate local and regional intercultural connections. Its unique performance style merges narrative, poetic and physical theatre with an edge of social commitment. The company is based at the Shed Theatre in the Addison Road Centre Marrickville (Sydney Australia)
Aims & Objectives
To investigate and experiment with the possibilities inherent in the relationship between a theatre and its locality;
To be at the forefront of development of contemporary Australian theatre and performance culture;
To work with theatre artists from diverse cultural and performance backgrounds exploring and developing new ways of making and presenting theatre;
To support the work of other performing artists and groups through low cost access to resources and services;
Provide an intimate performance space to produce our work and where possible the works of other artists, groups and community cultural organizations.
